
The Forestry Commission proposes to increase prices levied for inspections including Plant Health checks on consignments of controlled timber entering Great Britain from third countries .
The Forestry Commission proposes to implement the new rate structure as soon as possible after the consultation period ends on Friday 9 April 2010.
The changes to the fees are proposed to ensure that the Forestry Commission continue to fully recover the cost of providing this inspection service. Full information is contained in the Consultation Paper which is available to download by clicking here.
