ATIBT publishes user guide for eco-certified African timber
The Association Technique Internationale des Bois Tropicaux (ATIBT – International Tropical Timber Technical Association) has just released Volume 1 of their “User Guide for Eco-certified African Timber in Europe”.
The publication – financially backed by the PPECF (Promotional Programme for Certified Forestry Operations) and the AFD (French Development Agency – is a tool that promotes certified African species in Europe. It is intended for European users of African timber, as well as all timber industry professionals.
In the first section, it provides technical information on the tropical timber material, highlighting its exceptional qualities, while the second section presents works for which tropical timber has proven ideal and lists the species which can be used for such works.
The guide can be downloaded – at no cost – here.
