Wood Coating and Preservatives

Using the right timber for the job

This section gives you information on making sure you specify wood which will last, so that you can be sure to use the right timber for the job, whether untreated or pressure-treated with preservative in the factory.

Created for specifiers, this 45-minute Continuous Professional Development (CPD) course covers the important issues you need to be familiar with if you are selling timber coatings or preservative treated timber and helps you understand your customers’ needs. It has been produced by Wood Campus in collaboration with the Wood Window Alliance and the Wood Protection Association, and is accredited by the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Once you have completed all sections of the module and successfully assessed your knowledge, you will be able to print your CPD certificate.
