EATTA announces results of General Meeting July 2018
At the well-attended EATTA General Meeting, held on 5th July in the beautiful surroundings of the Great Hallingbury Manor Hotel in Bishops Stortford, members discussed various trade issues and developments. Iain Garfield of BPE Solicitors gave a very useful, in-depth presentation on the GDPR.
He covered this thorny subject with common sense and practical advice to help members understand their responsibilities and compliance.
Member companies present included representatives from Meyer Timber, International Ply, Stora Enso, SCA, Holmen Timber, BASF, Anglo Norden, Juha, Ridgeons. Nason Davis, Steico, QP Timber, CWP, MJ Gillingham, ABP, Peel Ports and many more.
EATTA is now the biggest Regional Association of the Timber Trade Federation in terms of membership, all members work within defined standards of trading in wood and wood products on which customers can rely and to which members are held accountable.
The attendance and input from Sawmills, Shippers, Ports, Merchants, Agents, Softwood & Hardwood Importers, Panel Manufacturers/ Distribution and many other areas of the Timber Trade proved to be very informative and constructive, which was well received by all attending.
