Good Wood Business and Timber Decking Handbook available now!

BLOG · BY TTF CEO DAVID HOPKINS · 26 May

Its publications galore at Timber Development UK this week as we release the latest Good Wood Business magazine as well as our 2022 Timber Decking Handbook.

In this issue of Good Wood Business, we will bring you all the latest product news and highlights from our most recent market statement, as well as an introduction to American Hardwoods, and news of how timber is leading the latest building design trend.

This publication also looks to highlight innovative and interesting stories from our members as we look to promote your products to a merchant audience.

This month, we highlighted BSW’s new brand image – with an expanded vision of ‘seeing timber in a new light’. The group is uniting its capabilities under a new, overarching, BSW Group brand, forging an integrated supply chain to create value and sustain long-term growth.

We have also advertised a wide range of member products which highlight the consistent ingenuity and innovation of our industry.

These include Medite Smartply’s new Sure Step, IRO Timber’s highland colour range and SR Timber’s Batten Shield end seal cream.

Good Wood Business is always looking for interesting products and stories to advertise to the market, so if you have something you would like to share, please do let us know!

Our Timber Decking Handbook was also launched this week. This publication aims to provide definitive guidance on decking, as well as design inspiration, in a clear and easy to follow format.

This collaborative resource from the Timber Trade Federation, the Timber Decking and Cladding Association, the Wood Protection Association and Wood Campus is the ‘go to’ reference for all things timber decking. Be sure to download your copy here!

Away from publications, our designTimber series kicked off last week with a webinar on the engineering and architecture of the stunning Magdalene College Library.

The webinar was attended by over 250 people and was a resounding success. A big thank you to all those who attended.

You can re-watch the webinar via the YouTube link here. The full designTimber series can be viewed at the end of this newsletter.
