Join our webinars on FR treated timber

As the timber sector looks to return to work, the Timber Trade Federation (TTF) in association with our partners at the Wood Protection Association (WPA) have developed training webinars to help highlight two themes under the #trustedtimber banner.

The first webinar is structured to help members to understand the Supply Chain for FR Treated Wood Products. This session will include how these products fit into the wider construction context particularly the changes to regulations post Grenfell and the critical government consultation on the use of combustible products in and on the external walls of mid-rise (11 metre) buildings which closes to responses on 25 May.

The second webinar has been developed to look at important changes in the preservative treatment sector. This session includes the switch for structural decking timbers from a Use Class 3 to a Use Class 4 application, plus, the conclusions of the TTF/WPA preservative treatment project which call for clear identification by Use Class, increased availability of training in the sector, and the greater adoption of third-party quality assurance on the treatment of wood.

Each webinar will be an hour long. This will allow plenty of time for the presentation and an interactive Q&A to follow. All divisional and regional members are encouraged to take part, but places are limited to 100 for each of these webinar dates.
