We offer our members unrivalled benefits

The TTF is the largest representative body for the whole UK timber supply chain, offering its members unrivalled benefits. We carry out a wide range of support activities and operate in circles that individual companies would find difficult or impossible, no matter how large, to undertake alone.

We are a highly respected voice within the timber industry

Externally, all our members benefit from the TTF’s promotion of a positive media image of timber and the TTF being an authoritative voice for the industry. We provide regular news, features, and the latest information and statistics to our media pages.

We represent the views of our members at the highest level

The TTF represents the views and interests of our members to the highest levels, speaking to civil servants, politicians, regulators and many key individuals and organisations (including NGOs) locally, nationally and internationally. The dialogue is not one-way – the TTF is regularly consulted by the government we are approached for our views on important issues impacting the timber industry, sustainable construction and responsible procurement.

We offer advice and support on key legislative changes

Internally, the TTF provides guidance on new legislation, new regulations and other technical, legal and commercial developments that affect our members’ businesses.  We have a growing list of business support initiatives to offer, with discounts on advice and action services for health and safety, personnel and employment law, chain of custody and credit insurance, as well as provision of internationally recognised contract forms.
